Fans' voice heard in £1bn PL promise

Following our #ShareTVWealth demonstration, the Premier League has announced increased funding for grassroots, payments to lower leagues, sporting and educational work, and disadvantaged groups. There's also a new commitment towards fan engagement. The total pledged is £1bn, and while it hasn't fixed every last issue with the game it illustrates a positive attitude of engagement from those who hold the purse strings.

Media outlets continue to hype up hooliganism in wake of the two celebratory pitch invasions in the FA Cup, and this week  Michel Platini chipped in with warnings of the "dark old days" coming back – we ask where is the balance when media are covering football-related disorder?

Back in September 2014 we met with the FA Chairman’s England Commission. We opposed "League Three" and "Strategic Loan Partnerships" but welcomed their desire to "address the ineffectiveness in preserving the desired balance of British, EU and non-EU players".
