Qatar 2022: FIFA won't listen, will sponsors?

Playfair Qatar estimate that 62 workers may lose their lives for each game played during Qatar’s 2022 World Cup. It’s a genuinely shocking statistic and they’re calling on supporters to lobby FIFA sponsors in order to put pressure on both world football’s governing body and the Qataris. What matters more FIFA - morality or money?

Last year’s decision by the FA to alter the England loyalty caps system didn’t go down well with fans. We're pleased to say that after FSF meetings with the FA and Greg Dyke, they’ve listened to supporters, meaning away fans will once again receive two caps. Fair play to them for the change of course.

The Championship play-off final is one of the highlights of our footballing calendar. But is it fair? Should a team finishing sixth in the league be on an equal footing to a team finishing third? And finally... visits Ligue 2 in France this week where newly-crowned champions Troyes lost 2-1 away to Brest, at the Stade Francis-Le Blé. Brest hung on to win the match, despite going down to ten men and this appalling own goal, courtesy of goalkeeper Joan Hartock.
